Value Plus Auto Rental offers, for an additional charge, an optional Collision Damage Waiver. This Collision Damage Waiver will cover part or all of your financial responsibliity for damage to the rental vehicle. By purchasing the Collision Damage Waiver you may avoid filing a claim with your insurance carrier and avoid paying part or any deductible or uninsured amounts. Before deciding whether to purchase the Collision Damage Waiver, you may wish to determine whether your own vehicle insurance affords you coverage for damage to the rental vehicle and the amount of deductible under your own insurance coverage.
The Collision Damage Waiver is voided if the rental agreement is violated. Some examples that void the CDW are, but are not limited to: damage or loss while the rental vehicle is used to carry persons or property for a charge or fee; damage or loss while towing, pushing, being driven in a speed contest, driving off paved roads, or by deliberate damage and reckless conduct; driving while intoxicated or under the influences of a controlled substance; if the rental contract is based on fraudulent or material misrepresentation by the renter; driven outside the continental United States or Canada; or damage caused by a driver not authorized by Value Plus.
